How much do you spend on groceries each week? Thanks to the King Soopers Neighborhood Reward Program, every dollar you load onto your Neighborhood Rewards card, 5% will be contributed to Pikes Peak Lacrosse Player Scholarships and Equipment Funds.  The program is a great, no-cost way to help PPL keep registration fees low and provide financial aid to those families in need who wish to participate in our lacrosse program.

If just 50 families used their Reloadable Gift Card to purchase $200 of groceries per week it would amount to $26,000 per year to Pikes Peak Lacrosse.  If 150 families committed to spending $250 with their card each month, PPL would earn $22,500 in one year.

Q. How do I use it?

A. The reloadable card comes preloaded with just $5. You must first load your card, at the King Soopers customer service desk, the check stand or the gas station, with any amount up to $500. The card can then be used like a gift card. The funds will be deducted from your card with every transaction and your balance will be printed on the bottom of your receipt. You can reload your card as often as you wish. You may use your gift card to purchase groceries and gas.

Q. Do I have to go to King Soopers customer service desk every time I load my card?

A. No. While you can go to the customer’s service desk if you prefer, you can also present your reloadable card to the cashier just before you check out or load it at the gas station. You must ask the cashier before they begin scanning items. Then it’s simple. Add funds to the card. Then check out and pay with those added funds. In practice, you can carry a zero balance every moment of the day except during the time you check your groceries out. Loading your card only adds seconds onto your transaction.

Q. Is my card only accepted at our neighborhood King Soopers?

A. No. All King Soopers, City Markets and Kroger stores and gas stations across the U.S. will accept this card! On the back of the card, in fine print, is a full list of participating stores.  You can take your card with you and use it all over the country. You can send a card to Michigan for grandma to use at Kroger, and your cousin in Seattle can use one to shop at Fred Meyer. It is an easy way to get your friends and relatives to earn money for Pikes Peak Lacrosse!

Q. Can I get a card while I’m at King Soopers?

A. No. King Soopers provides the PPL with cards that are linked specifically to our organization. You must get a card directly from Pikes Peak Lacrosse.

Q. Am I making the donation to Pikes Peak Lacrosse, or is King Soopers?

A. King Soopers has created the Neighborhood Rewards Program to give back to the community they serve. They reward your business by making a donation to your charitable cause… in this case, Pikes Peak Lacrosse. For anyone who already shops at King Soopers, this program is a great way to help financially support our club!

Q. Do I still get King Soopers loyalty points if I use my reloadable card?

A. Yes, loyalty points with King Soopers are connected with your frequent shopper card. Just show this card while you check out like you always do and you will continue to accumulate King Soopers frequent shopper points.

Q. Can I use my credit card to reload the King Soopers card? Because I like to earn reward points while shopping with my credit card.

A. Yes, you can use your preferred credit card to reload your King Soopers card and continue to earn frequent flyer miles or reward points, while at the same time earning cash back for Pikes Peak Lacrosse!

Q. I went to reload my card at King Soopers and they told me it had been deactivated… what’s the problem?

A. If a card has a zero balance for 90 days, it will become inactive. You will not be able to use the card. To start participating in the program again, you will need to get a new card from PPL.

Q. What if I lose my King Soopers reloadable card and it has a balance on it? Have I just lost all that money?

A. No. Keep a record of your King Soopers reloadable card number. If you lose your card and no one has found and spent what is on it, simply call 1 (800) 917-6484 or visit the Customer Service desk and they can transfer all the money on your reloadable card back to your credit card.  PPL will also maintain records of your coard number and reload amounts.

Q. My spouse or partner sometimes shops, can they get a card too?

A. Yes, you can get as many cards as you want to give to your spouse/partner, grandparents, neighbors, etc. The more people participating in the program, the quicker those dollars add up!  To purchase additional King Sooper Rewards Cards pleae visit our Registration Page and place an order.  We will deliver the cards to you when they arrive.

Q. What can be purchased with King Soopers Cards?

A.  Any merchandise in a King Soopers or its affiliated stores except services. Services include Western Union, Money Orders, Ticket Master, Postage Stamps, Lottery Tickets, & other King Soopers Gift Cards. Remember to use your King Soopers Card every time you fill your gas tank!

PPL Policy on Use of King Soopers Rewards Cards Funds

1. Recordkeeping – PPLAX will receive records detailing individual card purchaser’s name and card serial numbers associated with card purchaser’s names. (A monthly statement from King Soopers breaks down card rewards by card serial number.)

2. Fund distribution - All funds received will be restricted to use for scholarships and equipment.  Any other requests for use of funds will be reviewed by the PPLAX Board of Directors and will require a vote for approval.
